Hon Charity Kathathi Musyoka, the representative of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Kitui County Assembly and a NARC-nominated MCA, has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership through the Charity Musyoka Foundation. She convened a impactful awareness forum at Katutu Market, bringing together Persons with Disabilities and their caregivers from Kauwi ward to sensitize them on their rights and the range of government services available to them.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Kathathi underscored the importance of registering for PWD certificates, describing the document as a vital gateway to accessing government benefits, legal protections, and social support programs. She firmly emphasized that individuals holding valid PWD certificates should not be charged for services where legal exemptions apply, and called upon institutions to strictly adhere to and uphold these provisions.

The forum also placed strong emphasis on civic empowerment, urging PWDs to register as voters and actively participate in democratic processes to influence inclusive leadership and policymaking. Participants were further guided on the importance of enrolling under the Social Health Authority (SHA) to guarantee access to affordable and sustainable healthcare services.

Hon. Kathathi reaffirmed her dedication to ensuring that PWDs in Kitui county are empowered, well-informed, and fully integrated into development initiatives, while rallying stakeholders and the community to unite in safeguarding their dignity, equality, and rights.
