National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli has hosted a meeting bringing together aspirants eyeing various elective positions in the 2027 General Election, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots structures. The meeting, attended by prospective candidates for MCA, MP, and other positions, focused on building a united political front ahead of the polls.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Muli said his priority is to ensure that the NLP secures the majority of seats in the Kitui County Assembly. He noted that a strong presence at the ward level will be key in driving development and influencing policy decisions within the county. He urged aspirants to remain committed to the party’s vision and to intensify engagement with voters at the grassroots.

Dr. Muli also emphasized the importance of coordinated mobilization as he prepares his bid for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat. He said a well-organized network of leaders across the county will not only strengthen the party but also boost his campaign by creating a solid support base from the ground up.

The NLP boss reiterated that the party is rapidly growing across the region and is attracting leaders seeking a viable platform for election. He expressed confidence that with unity and strategic planning, NLP will emerge as a dominant political force in Kitui and the wider Ukambani region in 2027.
